    2021 Mime Festival News

Sadly, but inevitably, Covid-19 compels us to postpone the 2021 Mime Festival.

Our major programme of international live performance, films and workshops will return in January 2022, with highlights including several specially co-commissioned new productions from UK artists including Davy & Kristin McGuire, Mimbre, Opposable Thumb, Theatre Re, Thick & Tight, The PappyShow and Vamos Theatre.

But you don’t have to wait until 2022 to enjoy great physical and visual theatre. This coming January we’ll be hosting a series of short films commissioned from some of our favourite festival artists for showing on the LIMF website, and offering online and socially-distanced live workshops, talks and conversations led by internationally acclaimed mime, clown, puppetry/animation, mask and visual theatre practitioners, including Avner Eisenberg, David Glass, Julian Crouch, Kane Husbands, Nola Rae and Theatre Re. We’ll also be taking this opportunity to show videos of some of the festival’s most eye-opening productions from previous years.

Full details will be announced on our website in early November, so please check back then.
